What you need, is a Lady with a Log!

Whats better than laughing at oddball director David Lynch being weird? Laughing at someone parodying David Lynch being weird. Actor Chris Dotson has taken a small step into a bigger world...by this I mean that he has created a clever parody of David Lynch, put it on YouTube and turned it into a clever series called 'David Lynch: Problem Solver':

To the 0.222223% of the world that doesn't use the Internet, (and thusly won't be reading this...) Dotson is probably better known for his somewhat random appearances in the hit US TV shows 'The OC', 'Days of our Lives' and 'Chuck'. For those of us that do spend our lives whittling away at Web 2.0 however, he is better known for his surreal clip 'Ralph Maccio is Awesome!' and his earlier David Lynch parody clips. This clip resonates with me particulary as I am a fan of Mr Lynch and his odd movies, what seperates me from the majority of his drooling art student fanbase however, is my inability to worship him. Nothing annoys me more than film students and fans that do not find the following amusing, and in fact defend it as 'art':

Man oh man, for bliss and more bliss check Dotson's site at www.mynameischrisdotson.com. For further installments of David Lynch: Problem Solver, you can visit Dotson's Youtube page.

The History of the 'Blogosphere'

Who was the first 'blogger'?

The problem when trying to identify the pioneer of any new media, is defining when that media first came came into existance. Blogging is a key example of this problem:

'Was the first blogger the irascible Dave Winer? The iconoclastic Jorn Barger? Or was the first blogger really Justin Hall, a Web diarist and online gaming expert whom The New York Times Magazine once called the "founding father of personal blogging"? '
